Week 1: What was the best piece of advice you have ever received? The best piece of advice that I’ve been told is to push myself and aim for a better result, I reckon this can be meant in a lot of ways. like I play guitar and I should push myself to learnt more trickier songs and patters and later on down the track when I’m practising more trickier things I might understand it more and it may be a little easier to figure out. Another way it could be understood is school wise, it could mean to apply myself to everything I try and hopefully I can achieve more in the future. It can also mean something like exercise, if you sit on you bum all day and eat nothing but junk after a while you'll become obese and unfit. On the other hand if you eat right, have a balanced diet, exercise and push yourself to your limits you will become fitter stronger and things will become much easier to do, it also keeps your body weight overall low and a lower risk of a heart attack or stroke. Also by eating healthy and being healthy your brain works better. Your brain works better when you are healthy because you’re not eating junk, but if you eat right you are supplying your body with brain food packed full of vitamins, minerals and proteins. Week 2: What would happen if you threw a peice of trash on the ground? What if every one did? If every one threw a piece of rubbish on the ground it would very badly damage the earth later down the track especially if it was plastic. If every one threw a piece of plastic on the ground the wind could take it and it could end up in the water, then animals and fish would get caught in it and possibly die. Plastic is made out of almost everything, it can be used for packaging purposes, containers for example drink bottles, and some of them are made of plastic and when disposed of take a very long time to be broken down and are not safe for the environment. Week 3: What would you do if you saw a friend cheating - report it, confront the freind or nothing - and why? If every one threw a piece of rubbish on the ground it would very badly damage the earth later down the track especially if it was plastic. If every one threw a piece of plastic on the ground the wind could take it and it could end up in the water, then animals and fish would get caught in it and possibly die. Plastic is made out of almost everything, it can be used for packaging purposes, containers for example drink bottles, and some of them are made of plastic and when disposed of take a very long time to be broken down and unsafe for the environment. Imagine if every one threw a piece of plastic like a lolly wrapper or a plastic bag in the air and let the wind take it away the wind goes towards rivers or oceans, after that it can get caught in trees, plants and even underneath rocks. If it gets caught in a tree, plant or somewhere else it isn’t as bad as it washing into the ocean or river, but still the consequence is very bad. Birds that feed on fish can mistake a plastic drink top for something else and consume it, it will most likely will kill them or make them sick and if they are unwell they will be more vulnerable to predators because they aren’t as fast or strong. If a plastic bottle goes in the ocean fish may possibly get caught in it leaving it with no food and it will die if this happens alot of predators will starve because they may have no food because their prey may be dying due to plastic bottles. So if everyone threw at least one piece of rubbish on the ground the consequences could be fatal down the track, but if everyone put their rubbish in the bin preferably the recycling bin the environment and animals may live on for generations to see. What do you think courage means? Courage is something that you have when you do something past your limits. If you were afraid of heights and you decide to jump out of a plain that to you is courageous, if you are afraid of spiders and you pick one up, that is courageous to you. Every time you do something out of your comfort zone you are doing something courageous, people all have different fears and phobia’s but when people try to get over them, that shows true courage. A good friend should have the qualities of caring ness, understanding, be funny, would have your back and should now what to do in a bad situation, I believe a good friend should show these qualities because you need to have a laugh at times they need to be understanding because everyone’s different, also if they had your back they could keep you out of trouble, and need to be caring because some people need to be cared for because they might hurt yourself a lot. Week 4: What is your most indispensable possession and why? If caught some one cheating on a test I would leave them alone because if they want to cheat and not study it doesn’t bother me, but i know it’s wrong and it teaches me to never do that because in the end nine out of ten times they get caught or they are tested by surprise and they fail, because they haven’t studied. They have cheated. I believe that people like that will do it through out there lives and won’t get very far because there too lazy to learnt a couple of things. Even though they may not need it in life they still should learn it just in case they may need it in a random place at a random time on a random day. For example they could enter a game show and one of the questions is about maths, and suddenly something clicks in their head because they remember learning it in school, they get it right and they win one million dollars, so in the end what seems worthless to us now may come in handy in the future, not a question for one million dollars but it may be something like at their job. They might be a construction builder and they don’t have their measuring tape so they write on a piece of scrap wood the calculations they might need to build a certain part of a house. And they can get the job done without going back to their Ute and grabbing a measuring tape. That is why i don’t think it is right to cheat they should learn it. Week 5: I think a person polluting the environment is bad and disgusting because if people keep throwing rubbish they will become sick because over time they will become sick due to all the toxins in the air. We are sort of lucky that majority of people don't throw litter on the ground which pollutes the environment, but in saying that people cause pollution by driving using household appliances and many other things which pollute the environment leaving less oxygen for trees and plants. When people throw rubbish on the ground it may break down and when it does it will leave a toxin in the ground and the toxins over a while when they build up they will kill animals and plants leaving not as much wildlife and trees to produce oxygen. What do you think about a person polluting the environment? Week 6 How do you feel when you do something wrong? How do you feel when you do something that is very good? The feeling I get when I do something wrong can depend on how bad it actually is, if I did something like steal something, which I wouldn’t do, would make me feel terrible because whoever owned the item before i stole it would of worked really hard for it or it could of been a gift, I would probably return the item. But when I do something good I feel really proud of myself and try to do it again. If I sorted out something between friends because something happened, I would feel really good about myself. Week 7 I wish there was a law that said... This would be a good law because... I wish there was a law that said kids can pick what ever subjects they want and schools should vary in more subjects and classes but finish the same time as usual. This would be a really effective rule because if schools had more subjects and classes some kids wouldn’t ditch school as much. If kids could pick the subjects they wanted to do they could possibly enjoy school, students wouldn’t ditch because they could think to themselves, “hey I have fishing class, wood class and swimming, today’s going to be good as.” Instead of “ oh god I have maths and English and Italian today it’s going to be so poo”. So if there was a rule I could make it would be that rule because we are the future and if we don’t enjoy certain things we won’t learn them and we won’t know a thing. But with extra subjects we will actually learn something. Week 8 When you are angry, how do you look? When are you happiest? When have you felt lonely? When do you feel proud? When I am angry I don’t have a certain look on my face but I do sound angry and rude when I speak. I am happiest when I am doing sport, playing my guitar, on facebook talking to someone, playing games or watching a comedy show. A couple of times I have felt lonely but only when no one is around. I feel proud when I complete something like last year in wood I think I got a 97% in wood tech it was really nice and special and I did it all by myself, that was a very proud moment for me, another moment was about three weeks ago when I was playing footy, I took a mark from one of my mates, lined up for goal, kicked the ball and I scored a goal, I was very proud of myself. So those are the moments that make me proud. Week 9 Which quality do you dislike most about yourself - laziness, selfishness, childishness - and why? The things I dislike about my self is that sometimes I don’t treat people with alot of respect, I can be really dog sometimes and hurt full to people, that is my one of the things I dislike about myself, another thing is I think I am joking around but I’m actually hurting someone by making that joke. I really need to work on those two things because they are bullying. I need to be nicer to people or else I will end up with no friends and no one will like me and that scares me. Week 10 Why do you think prejudice exists in the world? I believe prejudice is all over the world because every one is prejudice, for example everyone has secrets and people just assume there secrets are more important than others that is prejudice, not every one thinks that but there are some people who think that. There are lots of people around the world and each person has at least one secret, prejudice is a world that isn’t used alot people say usually say “guess”, some one might decide to go bungee jumping one day and say it will be easy but when there on the platform and they look down and poo their pants that is prejudice. It’s a guess with no facts to back it up because everyone has their own fear level. I believe that every one is prejudice but in different prospects of it.
